Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds — Cheating Could Cost Players Dearly, Sega Warns
SEGA has issued a notice concerning violations in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, alerting players to instances of cheating and the use of banned tools. A post on the game’s social channels outlines behavior that contravenes the End User License Agreement (EULA) and warns that such actions could lead to serious consequences.
Various infractions have been identified in the game, including cheating, data modification, and the use of external tools that interfere with normal gameplay. The company stressed that these activities not only violate the EULA but may also breach intellectual property laws and other legal provisions.
The publisher added that it reserves the right to impose disciplinary or legal actions, which may include warnings, account suspensions, and litigation.
Sega reaffirmed its commitment to fair play and thanked players who help preserve a level playing field, saying: “Thank you for helping us uphold the integrity of the game.”
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launched on September 25, 2025, and serves as a spin-off of the racing series developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega.
