Some Lumine Fans Are Unhappy with Genshin Impact’s Fifth-Anniversary Video

Fans are calling for more attention to be given to Lumine.

In Genshin Impact, players can choose between two protagonists — Lumine (female) and Aether (male). At times, fans express dissatisfaction with marketing materials when they feel a favored character hasn’t received sufficient focus.

Melfire and several other Lumine supporters criticized a recent promo clip released for Genshin Impact’s fifth anniversary: “There’s no Lumine version, so that’s disappointing. For the celebration they could at least stop sidelining players and issue a trailer version starring Lumine as the lead — or even post a single piece of art of her…”

Lumine appears in a few shots; Melfire clarified that she would prefer to see the character featured as the main protagonist in the video — “from the context it’s clear she isn’t in that role, given who is shown in the clip.”
