Social Club: No more selfies or mugshots from GTA 5 and GTA Online as avatars
A new technical support entry has surfaced on the Rockstar Games website, though it remains hidden from general public view for the time being. The article details the upcoming discontinuation of another social feature—a move consistent with the developer’s habit of providing official confirmation only as changes are already being implemented.

Starting March 9, players will lose the ability to set Snapmatic selfies and in-game mugshots captured in GTA 5 and GTA Online as their Social Club profile pictures. This specific customization category is slated for removal from the avatar selection menu. However, those who currently have such an image set—or choose to set one before the mid-March deadline—will be permitted to retain their existing avatar indefinitely.
