Snoop Dogg returned to the spotlight for a surprise appearance at ComplexCon on Saturday, appearing to back his former label, No Limit Records, during the Verzuz showdown against Cash Money Records.

The veteran entertainer energized the audience at the Las Vegas Convention Center by joining the stage to perform C-Murder’s anthem “Down 4 My N***z,” prompting an ecstatic reaction from attendees.

After departing Death Row Records, Snoop briefly aligned with Master P’s No Limit in 1998, releasing three albums with the label: No Limit: Da Game Is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told (1998), No Limit Top Dogg (1999) and Tha Last Meal (2000).

Saturday’s Verzuz celebrated two of Louisiana’s most influential rap houses. No Limit’s roster featured Master P, Mia X and Silkk the Shocker, while Cash Money’s set included performances by Juvenile, B.G., Mannie Fresh and Birdman.

Fans enjoyed a string of landmark tracks over the course of the battle, including “400 Degreez,” “I’m Still Fly,” “Bling Bling,” “Break Em Off Something,” “How U Do That There,” “Slow Motion,” “Project Chick,” “Bout It Bout It,” “Real Big” and “Make Em Say Unh,” as reported by Complex.

Earlier in October, Complex and Verzuz announced a partnership to revive the music-battle series at ComplexCon. “Rather than talking so much, we just want to get to the action,” Verzuz co‑founders Swizz Beatz and Timbaland said in a joint statement.

Verzuz originally launched in March 2020 as a creative pandemic-era initiative from Timbaland and Swizz Beatz. The platform was sold to Triller Network in March 2021 and remained largely inactive for nearly three years before returning to live events; recent matchups leading into ComplexCon included Cypress Hill vs. Onyx, 8Ball & MJG vs. UGK, Omarion vs. Mario and Luny Tunes vs. DJ Nelson.
