Silent Hill: Townfall First Player Reviews Detail Performance Across Devices

Silent Hill: Townfall has launched in early access on Steam and received “Mostly Positive” user reviews, despite facing multiple complaints, including performance issues.

Early access to Konami’s new game is available to owners of the Deluxe Edition, while everyone else can start playing on September 24, 2026. The initial reviews on Steam primarily focus on the technical side after 3 to 4 hours of playtime, though the project currently holds a “Mostly Positive” status.

On Steam Machine at ultra settings with FSR Quality, players can achieve 60 FPS at 1080p. The situation is worse on Steam Deck, delivering 30 FPS on low settings with FSR Ultra Performance. An RTX 5070 enables gameplay in 4K at 60 FPS on ultra with DLSS 4.5 Performance, while switching to high settings raises the framerate to roughly 80 FPS.

Meanwhile, Townfall ranks eighth on the Steam bestseller chart. At the same time, the horror game reached a peak concurrent player count of over 6,100 people.
