It looks like Bloober Team may be moving into the next phase of the Silent Hill 2 Remake rollout — a refresh of the game’s official website hinted at two previously unannounced platforms. The page now includes two empty slots visible in the source code, placed beside the already listed PlayStation 5 and PC versions.
Inspecting the site’s HTML confirmed those elements are present. Their addition points to a broader platform lineup once the exclusivity window ends in October. The strongest contenders appear to be Xbox Series X/S and the Nintendo Switch 2.
Rumors about a platform expansion have been circulating for months. In September, insider Dusk Golem claimed the studio is preparing a PS5 Pro update and is working on new DLC that could restore the “Born From a Wish” episode.
The “Born From a Wish” episode first appeared in special editions of the 2001 original and focused on Maria — one of the game’s pivotal characters. It delved into her inner turmoil and her encounter with Ernest Baldwin in a deserted manor, enriching the game’s exploration of guilt and loss.
Insider NateTheHate previously stated that announcements for additional versions would be impossible until the exclusivity contract with Sony concludes: “An announcement can only be made after the deal ends in October,” he noted.
The Silent Hill 2 remake was released on October 8, 2024.
