Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 Update 1.2.5 Improves Interface and Map Generation, Adds City-States
The developers are steadily refining the project and resolving a number of issues.
The team behind the 4X strategy Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 has released update 1.2.5. This patch concentrates primarily on improvements to the game’s user interface.
The pause menu has been updated — it now lists the DLC and mods active in the current session, and you can copy map seeds to the clipboard. Several UI elements have been redesigned and some data displays adjusted; for example, the production menu now shows base yields, warehouse upgrades and/or the maximum number of adjacent tiles by default (the previous display can be restored in settings).
Example of the new settlement development interface:
They enhanced the map-generation system and added several new map types.
They introduced new city-state archetypes: Diplomatic and Expansionist.
Napoleon has been rebalanced — both the “Emperor” and “Revolutionary” versions received boosts:
“The ‘Emperor’ continues to specialize in sanctioning other leaders and earns larger rewards the more leaders he attacks. The ‘Revolutionary’ retains its existing combat bonuses and now gains additional rewards if you bait another leader into attacking you.”
