New York-based hardcore trio Show Me the Body have introduced a brand new album. It’s referred to as Dog Whistle and it’s out March 29 by way of Loma Vista/Caroline. The band has shared lead single “Camp Orchestra,” which arrives with a video directed by SMTB and rubberband. (the duo of Jason Sondock and Simon Davis). The music and visuals had been impressed by a go to to Poland’s Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum; the title can be a reference to the Jewish orchestra teams shaped in focus camps throughout World War II. “This album and our music does not belong to a political party,” Show Me the Body mentioned in an announcement. “No authority, political movement, or side may claim the function of our music in this society. This album is personal. It is about and for the disenfranchised youth of this city, of this country, and of this earth. It is for our community and anyone who may find shelter within it.”
Dog Whistle, which follows 2017’s Corpus I, was produced by Chris Coady, Show Me the Body, and Gabriel Millman. The band embarks on a North American tour starting in April. Check out SMTB’s tour poster beneath, and discover tickets here.
