Academy Award nominee Amy Madigan (“Places in the Heart”) and acclaimed actor Steve Buscemi (“Boardwalk Empire”) have been tapped to join the ensemble cast of the upcoming “The X-Files” reboot, as reported by Deadline.
Rounding out the stellar cast alongside leads Danielle Deadwyler and Himesh Patel are Ben Foster, Devery Jacobs, Tantoo Cardinal, Lochlyn Munro, Joel Montgrand, and Sophia Grace Clifton. The project is being helmed by director and producer Ryan Coogler (“Sinners”), with the script penned by Jennifer Yale (“Dexter”).
While specific plot details and an official release date remain under wraps, the highly anticipated series is set to air on FX and stream on Hulu.
