‘Sentimental Value’ Triumphs at the European Film Awards

Joachim Trier’s “Sentimental Value” emerged as the definitive victor at the European Film Awards, securing six major honors. The poignant drama exploring the bond between a father and daughter triumphed in the categories of Best Film, Best Director, and Best Screenwriter. Leading stars Renate Reinsve and Stellan Skarsgård were named Best Actress and Best Actor, respectively, while the film’s score was recognized as the Best Soundtrack.

Oliver Laxe’s “Sirat” also enjoyed a successful night, garnering five awards. The film swept the technical categories, taking home prizes for Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Sound Design, and Best Casting.
