Selena Gomez, with help from Laufey and The Marías, raises $600,000 for mental health services

Selena Gomez welcomed supporters, friends and collaborators to her third annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit on October 29, 2025, at Nya Studios in Los Angeles. The evening — a blend of performances, speeches and fundraising pledges — generated more than $600,000 in commitments to mental health organizations that serve young people.

Comedian and host Jimmy Kimmel emceed the program, while artists Laufey and The Marías delivered memorable sets. Gomez spent time on the red carpet greeting performers and guests; her husband, producer Benny Blanco, joined the celebration alongside public figures including Lil Dicky, Jake Shane and Jay Shetty.

“This night is a celebration of how far we’ve come and a powerful reminder of how much more we can do together,” Gomez said in a statement shared with Billboard in September, expressing gratitude for the evening’s collaborators and supporters. She specifically thanked Jimmy Kimmel and The Marías for helping amplify the cause.

The funds secured at the benefit represent a milestone in the Rare Impact Fund’s long-term goal to mobilize $100 million for global mental health services and education. The organization, launched five years ago in tandem with Gomez’s Rare Beauty company, focuses on expanding access and reducing stigma for young people everywhere.

By comparison, last year’s benefit — which featured performances from Karol G and Teddy Swims — raised more than $2 million for the fund, underscoring continuing public and industry support for the initiative.

On the Rare Impact Fund website, Gomez shares that mental health has been a deeply personal journey: after years of navigating severe highs and lows without adequate support, she ultimately sought help and resolved to create greater access for others. “That’s why I started the Rare Impact Fund,” she writes, emphasizing that no one should face mental-health struggles alone, regardless of age, background, gender or orientation.
