Security Update for Unity
Security patch applied to UnityPlayer.dll
We’ve applied a security update to the UnityPlayer.dll file to address the vulnerability described in Unity’s remediation notice (Sept 2025): Unity — Sept 2025 remediation.
The following titles received the updated UnityPlayer.dll:
- Sons of the Forest
- Sons of the Forest — Dedicated Server
- The Forest VR
The patch is small (approximately 1–2 MB). For clarity, the original The Forest and its dedicated server are not affected by this issue and did not require an update.
