Prominent industry journalist Jason Schreier recently dropped a fresh video analyzing the current state of GTA 6. While he mostly echoed previous statements from Take-Two’s CEO, he also offered a few compelling insights of his own.

Release Window Concerns

Schreier refused to completely dismiss the slim chance of a third postponement for Grand Theft Auto VI. To illustrate his point, he referenced Cyberpunk 2077, which suffered a last-minute 21-day delay even after officially going gold. Ultimately, players can only breathe a true sigh of relief on November 12—just one week prior to launch—when the digital preload finally goes live.

Multiplayer Silence

Publisher Take-Two is keeping its cards close to the chest regarding the upcoming multiplayer suite. As established since pre-orders officially went live, GTA VI places its primary focus on the single-player campaign. Evidently, Rockstar Games is not yet prepared to pull back the curtain on its online ecosystem.

What to Expect from Netflix

Much like the rest of the community, Schreier strongly suspects that the upcoming showcase, titled Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look, will serve as a full-fledged gameplay trailer.

When Schreier directly asked Strauss Zelnick whether the upcoming presentation would mirror a traditional Netflix premiere format, the executive confirmed that it indeed would.
