“Scarlett Holmes” miniseries announced, starring “Pretty Little Liars” actress
The streaming platform Roku has unveiled “Scarlett Holmes,” a contemporary reimagining of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic tales. The lead role will be portrayed by “Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale.
Rather than tackling traditional crime, the protagonist, Scarlett Holmes, turns her investigative prowess toward the complexities of love. Alongside her associate, Jane Watson, she assists clients in decoding mixed signals, resolving romantic dilemmas, and navigating various relationship hurdles. Her composure is challenged when she clashes with Ollie Moriarty, a cunning podcast producer determined to discredit her professional methods.
Each episode will draw inspiration from iconic romantic comedies. “Scarlett Holmes” is slated for release on Roku in 2027.
Adaptations of the Sherlock Holmes universe remain a staple in television and streaming: 2025 saw the arrival of “Sherlock and His Daughter,” followed by the spring 2026 debut of Guy Ritchie’s “Young Sherlock.” Furthermore, Netflix premiered the third installment of “Enola Holmes,” starring Millie Bobby Brown, this past summer.
