Revealed during Nintendo Direct on February 17, 2021, Samurai Warriors 5 is already back to give us some news. The first is that its release will not be very far from that of Japan, since there will be only a small month of difference between the two. In its native country, the game will indeed arrive on June 24, while at home and in the rest of the world, it will be July 27, 2021. The game is expected on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, but an update free on new generation consoles is also relevant. This will result in technical upgrades which have not yet been disclosed. As usual, the duo Koei Tecmo and the Omega Force studio are in charge and the story of this Samurai Warriors 5 will focus on Nobunaga Oda and Mitsuhide Akechi, two warriors who have faced each other in the past. For the moment, 27 fighters are planned in the launch roster, but we imagine that the game will offer other protagonists thereafter, during updates and DLC of course. While waiting to learn more, here is a new trailer.
