In the wake of the reveal trailer for The King of Fighters XV that SNK released overnight, without warning anyone, the Japanese publisher also revealed the content of the famous Season Pass 3 dedicated to Samurai Shodown. That the players rejoice, four new completely new fighters will therefore enter the roster, knowing that the identity of the first two has already been revealed. This is Cham-Cham, Tam-Tam’s little sister, who appeared in Samurai Shodown 2 at the time in 1994, replacing his brother who had not been renewed in the cast.
But Cham-Cham will not be alone since Hibiki Takane, from The Last Blade series, will also make her appearance in the game. Recognizable thanks to her red kimono and her calm personality, she is nonetheless a fierce samurai since she wields the sword perfectly. Its arrival in Samurai Shodown allows the series to crossover with the other beloved sword fighting game of the NeoGeo era, and could perhaps tease the return of the franchise for possibly a reboot in the years to come. Who knows ? In the meantime, know that each of these new protagonists will land with their level and their own musical theme.
