Sam Asghari has every intent of sustaining the launch of Britney Spears‘ memoir, The Woman in Me, despite their pending divorce. Speaking with TMZ on Thursday, Asghari stated that he plans to head to a bookstore and pick up a copy once it’s launched on Oct. 24.
When asked if he was thrilled for the launch of his ex lover’s publication, he responded, “No, I already read it. I’m very proud of her. She put a lot of work to it, and it was very hard. I’m definitely excited and I’m extremely proud of her. It was a really tough one … I’ll be the first one in line to buy it.”
Asghari’s remarks come amidst him applying for separation from the “Stronger” vocalist in August after 6 years of dating and much less than 2 years of marital relationship, mentioning difference of opinions for the dissolution of their connection. Elsewhere in his conversation with TMZ, Asghari specified that he is not dating and is concentrating on his kind of work.
Spears dealt with the split in an Aug. 19 Instagram message, in which she danced to Janet Jackson’s 1993 track “If,” specifying in the inscription of the video clip that the split came as rather of a shock.
“As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together … 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked but … I’m not here to explain why because its honestly nobody’s business !!!” she wrote.
The message proceeded, “But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly !!! In some sort of telepathic way I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you !!! I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that !!! I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel but some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses !!!”
The Woman in Me is slated to show up on Oct. 24.
