Sakamoto Days to be released in Russia
Film distributor World Pictures has announced the upcoming release of the feature-length adaptation of the “Sakamoto Days” manga. The action-comedy is scheduled to hit theaters on July 16.
In 2025, Netflix debuted the “Sakamoto Days” anime series, which quickly became one of the streaming platform’s standout hits. The new film follows the story of Taro Sakamoto (played by Ren Meguro of “Shōgun”), a legendary former hitman who has since retired to run a local convenience store. When his violent past threatens to disrupt his quiet, everyday life, he must go to great lengths to safeguard his family.
Directed by Yuichi Fukuda (“Gintama”), the film features a supporting cast that includes model Fumiya Takahashi, Kenjiro Tsuda, Takumi Kitamura, and others. The official Russian-language trailer for the film is now available.
