A star of Stranger Things will appear in the fourth solo Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland, but Marvel is keeping the specifics of her role strictly confidential.
Sadie Sink was photographed on the set of Spider-Man: A Brand New Day for the first time. The actress was seen alongside director Destin Daniel Cretton in London, where production is now in full swing on Tom Holland’s fourth standalone Peter Parker adventure.
In one image, Sink appears in an outfit fans have linked to Rachel Cole-Alves — the redheaded ally of the Punisher in the comics who has assisted Spider-Man. It’s confirmed that Frank Castle will appear in the film, but whether he operates alongside a partner is still unknown.
That theory is bolstered by elements of Sink’s costume — including camouflage pants and hefty boots — yet in other shots she was wearing different clothing: a black-and-yellow jacket and blue jeans. That shift prompted fresh speculation: many fans think she could be portraying a reimagined Mary Jane from an alternate universe, since her hair color wasn’t changed, which largely rules out the Gwen Stacy possibility.
Other possibilities are also being discussed. Some believe Sink could take on Jean Grey, while others speculate she might portray Beetle — described in reports as the daughter of Tombstone, who is likewise expected to appear in the movie.
For now the details remain tightly sealed. Marvel Studios hasn’t even disclosed the character’s name, though fans are confident that leaks and additional on-set photos will eventually shed light on the matter. The photographer behind the recent images, posting as UnBoxPHD, was reportedly near the set when the pictures were taken and says more shots will be released soon.
The film will conclude Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026, serving as the final installment before Avengers: Judgment Day and Avengers: Secret Wars.
