With only hours remaining before she takes the SNL stage, Sabrina Carpenter rallied fans with an Instagram carousel of backstage moments and rehearsal snapshots.

The photos offer a peek into her dressing room, wardrobe choices and what appears to be a writers’ or table-read session — even showing the cue card used for this week’s promotional spot at SNL’s 30 Rock headquarters in New York City.

Tonight (Saturday, Oct. 18) marks Carpenter’s debut as an SNL host, and she’ll return to the show as its musical guest. She last performed on the program in May 2024 and took part in the Feb. 2025 SNL50 special, where she sang with Paul Simon and appeared in one of Marcello Hernandez’s “Domingo” sketches. Earlier in the Short n’ Sweet Tour she also had a memorable interaction with Domingo during a Los Angeles stop.

With acting experience in sitcoms, a strong live-performance résumé and a gift for sharp, memorable songwriting, Carpenter looks ready to lean into the show’s comedic beats as well as its musical moments.

As the musical guest she’s spotlighting her current album, Man’s Best Friend, which opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in August.
