Sabrina Carpenter Makes Surprise ‘SNL’ Return Alongside A$AP Rocky and Finn Wolfhard

Sabrina Carpenter treated viewers to an unexpected appearance on Saturday Night Live this past Saturday (Jan. 17), crashing a standout sketch featuring host Finn Wolfhard and musical guest A$AP Rocky.
The 26-year-old pop powerhouse—who dominated the stage as both host and musical guest in October 2025—returned to the iconic Studio 8H to reprise her role as a chaotic teenager in a segment spoofing the rise of pre-teen podcasting culture.
The sketch, titled “Snack Homiez,” centers on a group of middle-school boys played by Stranger Things lead Finn Wolfhard and cast members Chloe Fineman, Jane Wickline, and Veronika Slowikowska. The group engaged in a rapid-fire ranking of their “goated snacks of 2026,” utilizing an impressively accurate arsenal of Gen Alpha vernacular, including terms like “looksmaxxing,” “low-key,” “chopped,” and “no Diddy.”
During the nearly six-minute skit, the boys moved from debating the merits of toasted Uncrustables and post-practice celery to interviewing their special guest, A$AP Rocky. Wolfhard’s character, a streamer channeling “gigachad” energy, praised the rapper’s bone structure before Rocky introduced his own fictional contribution to the snack world: Fashion Killa Dilla Pickle-flavored Rap Snacks.
Beyond the comedy, A$AP Rocky took the stage for his debut as an SNL musical guest, delivering three high-octane tracks from his latest album, Don’t Be Dumb, which premiered on January 16. His first set featured “Punk Rocky,” a performance that mirrored the frantic aesthetic of his Winona Ryder-led music video and featured legendary composer Danny Elfman on drums alongside virtuoso bassist Thundercat. Rocky later returned for a seamless medley of “Helicopter” and the album’s title track.
While this marked Rocky’s first official musical residency on the show, he previously visited the program in 2018 for the “Friendos” sketch with Kenan Thompson and Donald Glover.
Carpenter’s cameo serves as a victory lap following her massively successful 2025 dual-hosting stint. That appearance followed the release of her seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend, which secured the top spot on the Billboard 200. During her previous time on the show, she performed her chart-topping hits “Manchild” and “Nobody’s Son.”
