S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was 20% off until May 30, 2025

GSC Game World announced a 20% Steam discount for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl on May 24, 2025. The offer ran through May 30 and followed the release of the enhanced versions of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 had launched on November 20, 2024, so the May offer covered a released game rather than a preorder. Steam lists GSC Game World as the developer and the worldwide publisher.

The official announcement connected the promotion with three protagonists from the earlier games. Strelok reached the center of the Zone, Scar changed the course of the Faction War, and Major Degtyarev investigated events around Prypiat. Their stories span Shadow of Chornobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Prypiat, the three games collected in Legends of the Zone Trilogy.

The Enhanced Editions arrived on PC on May 20, 2025. Steam’s Shadow of Chornobyl page confirms the release date and lists graphical upgrades, controller support, bug fixes, and quality-of-life changes. The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 promotion began several days after that release.

Price after the promotion

The May 2025 offer has ended. On September 3, 2026, Steam’s US storefront listed the Standard Edition at $59.99 with no discount. GOG showed a USD price of $59.99, while the European Epic Games Store page showed €59.99. Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store display prices separately for each region.
