Russell Wilson and Ciara are concluding the year with a remarkable act of philanthropy. The powerhouse couple has donated $3 million to the Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital, marking a major milestone for Wilson’s Why Not You Foundation.

The announcement, featured on Good Morning America on December 26, detailed how the funds will be utilized to bolster pediatric care. The contribution is slated to revitalize the hospital’s communal spaces—offering young patients a creative sanctuary for therapeutic activities away from clinical settings—and will also provide ongoing support for the facility’s holiday shop.

For Wilson, the commitment is deeply personal. Throughout his season with the New York Giants, the quarterback has dedicated his Tuesday rest days to visiting the children’s ward. During his GMA interview, he reflected on how his upbringing influenced this path, noting that his mother was an ER nurse and his father spent significant time in hospitals battling diabetes.

“I found myself asking how I could truly make an impact,” Wilson shared. “Every time I enter a patient’s room, I am hoping for a miracle, and I have been fortunate enough to see those miracles happen time and again.”

The couple’s “Why Not You Foundation” was established in 2014, named after a mantra Wilson’s father frequently shared. This philosophy of self-belief has fueled their charitable reach; just six weeks ago, Wilson revealed that the foundation has raised over $21 million to date to combat poverty and support education and pediatric health research.

Ciara has been equally active in her solo philanthropic endeavors. Recently, she visited Atlanta to pledge $2 million toward programs aimed at ending food insecurity. Together, the couple remains focused on using their platform to provide hope and resources to those in need.

Reflecting on the impact of these donations, Wilson noted that providing a temporary escape for children facing medical hardships is his most meaningful accomplishment. “It’s better than any touchdown or any trophy I’ve ever won,” he stated.
