Russ Millions and Tion Wayne create another slice of chart history with “Body” (Warner UK), this time in Australia.
The pair’s hit surges 3-1 on the ARIA Singles Chart this week, to become the first British hip-hop track to scale the national chart.
Earlier this month, “Body” lifted to No. 1 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, the first drill song to do so.
Meanwhile, U.S. rapper J. Cole earns a Top 20 debut with “i n t e r l u d e” (Interscope/Universal), lifted from his sixth album, The Off-Season. It’s new at No. 20 on the ARIA Singles Chart, and is Cole’s first appearance on the survey since “Middle Child” peaked at No. 15 in February 2019.
Also new to the chart this week is Pink’s “All I Know So Far” (RCA/Sony), which drops in at No. 25 for the U.S. pop star’s second chart entry for 2021, following “Cover Me In Sunshine” (No. 6 in March). “All I Know So Far” is the title track from her upcoming live documentary, due out May 21 on Amazon Prime.
U.S. rapper Trippie Redd bags his first entry on the ARIA Chart with “Miss The Rage” (Universal), new at No. 31; while returning British rock outfit Coldplay make their first appearance on the survey in more than four years with “Higher Power” (Parlophone/Warner), new at No. 44. Coldplay last impacted the chart with their Chainsmokers collaboration “Something Just Like This,” hitting No. 2 back in March 2017.
There’s a handful of new releases this week on the ARIA Albums Chart, which is led for a second consecutive cycle by Amy Shark’s Cry Forever (Wonderlick/Sony).
Rag’n’Bone Man has a second Top 5 entry as his sophomore effort Life By Misadventure (Sony) starts at No. 4. It’s the followup to the British bluesman’s debut Human, which peaked at No. 3 back in Feb. 2017. Life By Misadventure features “Anywhere Away From Here,” the duet he performed with Pink on Tuesday at the 2021 Brit Awards in London.
Finally, Van Morrison just misses out on the Top 40 with the Northern Irishman’s 42nd studio album, Latest Record Project Volume 1 (BMG/ADA). Its new at No. 41.
