Rumors: RDR 2 to be Released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2

Two publications reported hearing from a source close to Rockstar Games about the upcoming release of RDR 2 on three platforms. Rumors about the popular western being in the launch lineup for the Nintendo Switch 2 have been circulating since the beginning of the year. It will be one of four titles for the hybrid console, which Take-Two announced yesterday.

As for upgrading the game to a full next-gen version for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, the wait has been even longer. Fans have been anticipating this event so much that they even created a fake trailer.

The only thing the sources disagreed on was the possible release date, ranging from “later this year” to March 31, 2026. However, the most likely date for at least one version seems to be next month — June 5, when NS2 goes on sale.
