Rockstar Prepares Next-Gen Update for PC Version of GTA 5 and GTA Online

All PC owners of GTA 5 and GTA Online will receive a free update on Tuesday, March 4, that will upgrade the game to the next-gen version. Developers have begun making necessary adjustments in preparation for this release.

A new client for upgraded players appeared on Steam on the day of the announcement last Thursday. Meanwhile, the standard version has been renamed Grand Theft Auto V Legacy in the Rockstar Games Launcher.

It was discovered later that the updated version will be listed as GTA V Enhanced, and RGL will receive several changes, including the integration of FiveM, GTA+, and a connection to Rockstar’s official Discord server.

Players should also prepare their computers if they want to fully enjoy the technical improvements. This means ensuring that their hardware meets the system requirements.
