Analysts tallied mobile game downloads for September 2025 and compiled a ranking of the most-downloaded titles.
Mobilegamer.biz released September’s mobile game download figures based on data from the AppMagic service. The report does not include the Chinese Android market.
Roblox remains untouchable in terms of installs, despite a notable decline—from a platform record of 33 million in August to 25 million in September. Analysts link the drop to the start of the school year, when players typically have less time for gaming.
Still, the lead over rivals is substantial: puzzle game Block Blast claimed second place with 18 million downloads, while Subway Surfers took third with 17 million, matching the long-running hit’s usual numbers.
The standout newcomer of the month was Prison Master, an escape-from-prison simulator from Vietnamese studio XGame. The title is Android-only but nonetheless gathered 14.7 million installs and earned fourth place in the ranking.
Clash Royale posted its strongest download performance since June 2017—11.3 million installs—allowing it to surge 14 spots and land seventh in the chart.
