Rihanna Responds as “Anti” Becomes First Album by a Black Female Artist to Spend 500 Weeks on the Billboard 200

Rihanna’s 2016 album Anti has reached a remarkable milestone: it has now spent 500 nonconsecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, making it the first album by a Black female solo artist in Billboard chart history to achieve that longevity.

On the chart dated December 6, 2025, the record sits at No. 134 — its 500th week on the ranking — underscoring the project’s enduring appeal nearly a decade after its release.

Responding to the news on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, December 10, Rihanna celebrated the achievement with the post: “God ain’t forget bout me!”

Anti remains Rihanna’s most recent full-length album; since its January 2016 release she has concentrated largely on building her Fenty fashion and beauty businesses and on family life with A$AP Rocky. In the years since, she’s issued only a handful of singles, including the Oscar‑nominated “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).

The album previously peaked at No. 1 for two weeks and produced several Hot 100 hits — notably “Work” (featuring Drake), “Needed Me” and “Love on the Brain.” Anti also earned multiple Grammy nominations, including a nod for best urban contemporary album.

In separate posts on X, Rihanna also marked a national milestone for her homeland, writing congratulations to Barbados on its 59th year of independence and its fourth year as a republic, and acknowledging the installation of the nation’s second president alongside Prime Minister Mia Mottley.
