Resident Evil Requiem Looks Surprisingly Good on Switch 2, Journalists Say
Capcom’s new horror release is scheduled for February 2026.
Resident Evil Requiem showcases surprisingly strong visuals on the Nintendo Switch 2. Famitsu reports that its writers were able to test the game in handheld mode alongside the PlayStation 5 build. According to the journalist, the demo shown at TGS (the same build that appeared at Gamescom) preserves the atmosphere and gameplay quality on the Nintendo Switch 2, holding up well compared to other platforms even in portable mode.
Beyond Famitsu, Shacknews and Coelho no Japão also tested the title on Nintendo Switch 2 and uploaded gameplay clips to their YouTube channels.
It appears Requiem runs on the Switch 2 with an unlocked frame rate, similar to several other games developed on the RE Engine.
