If the Resident Evil Showcase on Thursday, January 21, 2021 allowed us to know the release date of Resident Evil Village, it also revealed the existence of a multiplayer mode that will accompany the game. On this same release date of the May 7, 2021, it will therefore be possible to compete against up to 6 players thanks to this Resident Evil Re: Verse. The particularity of this multi is to already offer a rendering close to cel-shading, a particular approach on the part of Capcom which perhaps wishes to relax the generally scary atmosphere of its series. The idea is indeed to compete between 4 and 6 players in the skin of the iconic characters of the series (Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Ada Wong, Claire Redfield), but also of the protagonists of the bestiary such as Jack Baker , the Nemesis, Hunk, the Tyrant and many more. In order to remain in the most total homage, the environments that have been shaped are obviously from Resident Evil folklore, with places also well known to fans of the series. The game modes have not yet been detailed, but we can already enjoy these screenshots and the first trailer, rather short and shy besides.
