Remedy Releases Control Update Adding PS5 Pro Support and a Mission Featuring Hideo Kojima

Remedy has delivered on its promise — Patch 1.30 for Control: Ultimate Edition is now available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The standout change: free bonus content that was previously reserved for pre-order purchasers.

Players now receive three new outfits — Astral Dive Suit, Tactical Response, and Urban Response — plus the mission “Dr. Yoshimi Tokui’s Guided Imagery Experience,” voiced by Hideo Kojima (previously a PS4 exclusive).

The update introduces unlocked frame-rate options, adds 120Hz and VRR support across all current-generation consoles, and removes the FPS cap in both Quality and Performance modes. Anti-aliasing has been improved with an updated Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TAA), HDR support has been added, and SDR has been upgraded from 8-bit to 10-bit.

PS5 Pro now supports PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution), which refines rendering of edges, hair, and foliage. Reflections in Performance mode have been corrected, and texture and shadow filtering have been refreshed.

The developers also addressed a number of bugs across all platforms.
