Release Date for “Artificial Intelligence” in Russia Announced

NEON has unveiled the teaser for Artificial, the latest feature directed by Luca Guadagnino. The film stars Andrew Garfield as OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Yura Borisov as co-founder Ilya Sutskever. The supporting cast features a stellar ensemble, including Monica Barbaro, Cooper Hoffman, Ike Barinholtz, and Mark Rylance.

The narrative chronicles the meteoric rise of OpenAI and the intense power struggles surrounding the advancement of AI technology. Spanning two decades of research and corporate development, the story highlights the dramatic 2023 boardroom crisis involving Altman’s abrupt termination and his subsequent high-profile reinstatement.

Penned by Simon Rich with an original score by Damon Albarn, the film found a new home at NEON after Amazon MGM passed on distribution. Following its world premiere at the New York Film Festival, Artificial is slated for a Russian theatrical release on January 21, 2027.
