Recently, the leadership at Take-Two Interactive expressed significant enthusiasm regarding their strategic alliance with Netflix, reinforcing earlier sentiments shared by executive colleagues. Just weeks prior, a senior official offered a succinct validation of the venture’s success:

We’ve seen some really positive results with games like Red Dead Redemption, same kind of performance that we saw in GTA for folks that are familiar with that.

Despite these optimistic remarks, official corporate reports lacked specific data concerning the mobile performance of Red Dead Redemption and its expansion, Undead Nightmare, on iOS and Android platforms.

However, market intelligence from Sensor Tower indicates that the Western epic surpassed 10 million downloads within its first two months of availability. The vast majority of this player base accessed the title through the Netflix Games catalog rather than traditional storefronts.

In contrast, the premium standalone versions—retailing for $40 on the App Store and Google Play—yielded just over $500,000 in total revenue. This figure suggests that fewer than 20,000 consumers chose to purchase the game outright, highlighting a strong preference for subscription-based access.
