Red Dead Redemption 2 Ranks Fourth Among All-Time Best-Selling Games
Unsurprisingly, Grand Theft Auto V also appears on the list.
According to Take-Two Interactive’s latest earnings report, Red Dead Redemption 2 has overtaken Mario Kart 8 to claim the fourth spot among the best-selling games of all time by units sold.
That means two Rockstar Games titles now sit in the top ranks — Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto V, with the latter holding second place behind only Minecraft.
As disclosed on Take-Two’s recent investor call, Red Dead Redemption 2 has shipped more than 79 million copies, while the Red Dead franchise as a whole has reached 106 million units worldwide. Analysts also note that RDR2 remains the top-selling game in the United States by dollar revenue over the past seven years.
