Britney Spears can quickly have a 2nd profession as a star, states casting supervisor Matthew Barry.
Earlier today, Barry launched Spears’ 2002 tryout tape for the seriously well-known movie The Notebook, in which Spears is seen skillfully providing her lines and sobbing on que. Barry informs Billboard that Spears was “incredible” in her tryout and, as Spears details in her memoir The Woman in Me, the choice boiled down to her and Rachel McAdams, that eventually landed the duty of Allie Hamilton contrary Ryan Gosling.
According to Barry, Spears took the tryout extremely seriously and asked if she can deal with him and his companion Nancy Green-Keyes before conference with the supervisor.
“She wanted to get it right,” states Barry. “We really worked with her to guide her since we’ve worked with [director] Nick Cassavetes. I’d worked with him for 15 years and knew everything he was looking for.”
She was the only starlet to demand added time with Barry and his companion, that additionally saw Jessica Biel, Mandy Moore, Claire Danes, Scarlett Johansson, Kate Bosworth and Jamie King for the duty.
Spears job ethic following her attribute movie launching in the Shonda Rhimes-penciled Crossroads was “phenomenal,” states Barry. “She was so determined. The thing I was most impressed with is that she came with no entourage, not even a driver. She just came in on her own, sat in our office and went over the scenes.”
According to Barry and Spears’s narrative, which was launched Tuesday (Oct. 24), she quite desired the duty regardless of her appointments concerning acting once more. “I think Britney felt she was not as trained as an actress,” states Barry, that discusses that he determined to launch the video clip currently – after greater than twenty years – to provide her a “little more positive reinforcement” and to “show her fans that she was really fantastic.”

With a break from songs, Barry states Spears can quickly make an innovative resurgence with acting. Given her Instagram video clips of dance, Barry thinks “she still wants to perform. She’s trying desperately to express herself.”
As a spreading supervisor, he states it’s his task to pass on every rock and connect to stand out celebrities like Spears in 2002 (or Taylor Swift that he connected to previously this year to star in one more Cassavetes movie – he states her group transformed her down with the worldwide scenic tour coming close to).
“I honestly believe [Spears] can [make it in acting],” states Barry. “Come work with me, I’ll whip her into [acting] shape in a month.”
