On the 14th anniversary of the first Red Dead Redemption, the first confirmation of the game’s existence on PC surfaced, hinting at an imminent release. A month has passed since then, and we might have to wait a little longer.

The launch of the EpicDB website today (which is no longer active as EGS has deactivated the method through which third parties accessed confidential information), a counterpart to SteamDB, was accompanied by the release of a substantial amount of information about games yet to be released on the Epic Games Store. One of the projects that attracted attention is a title with the codename Semla (Semla is a traditional bun in Northern European cuisine), added to the database in early February. Based on the name, it was hypothesized to be the developing remake of Max Payne 1&2, but the size – only 10.3 GB – caused doubts. It seemed small for a new release, but the size of the new PlayStation version of RDR 1 is almost identical, with the western taking up 10.8 gigabytes on PS4.

The unknown game on Rockstar's list in Epic Games Store might be the first Red Dead Redemption.

But even if the long-awaited PC port is just around the corner, it might be released initially in the Rockstar Games Launcher, and only later in Steam and the Epic Games Store. For example, the GTA: Trilogy remaster “moved” from RGL to Steam and EGS after 14 months.
