This is a buyout that no one had seen coming, and yet it makes perfect sense when you think about it a little seriously. According to a post posted on the forum ResetEra, Sony is reportedly poised to acquire Bluepoint Games, the US studio behind some of the best remasters and remakes. We will cite jumble God of War Collection on PS3, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on PS4, Shadow of the Colossus or even the very recent remake of Demon’s Souls on PS5. According to the author who cites several reliable sources, the developers would like to secure their future by allying with the manufacturer, and take advantage of its finances in order to develop a specific license instead of being confined to the realization of remakes. The transaction would be about to be announced, the post mentioning an officialization which would take place before February 28, 2021. In the meantime, we remind you that the studio is currently working on a new remake which would be, according to the rumor, the one by Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
