“Predator: Planet of Death” is now officially the highest-grossing entry in the franchise. The new film, directed by Dan Trachtenberg, has amassed $162 million at the global box office. The previous franchise record was held by the 2018 “Predator,” which earned $160.5 million.
However, the most successful crossover remains “Alien vs. Predator,” which pulled in $177 million.
Despite solid box-office figures, “Predator: Planet of Death” is not yet an undisputed commercial triumph. The horror’s production budget was $105 million — and that total does not include marketing expenses.
