Pokémon GO Mega Squads Event Guide

Comment Views: 0

The Pokémon Go “Mega Squads” celebration introduces powerful new Mega Evolutions for Beedrill and Houndoom, alongside the highly anticipated arrival of the Rascal Pokémon, Maschiff, and the glittering debut of Shiny Flamigo. This limited-time experience takes place from September 8 through September 14.

Uniquely, the celebration is divided into two distinct phases. Phase two kicks off on September 11 at 10:00 a.m. local time, refreshing wild encounters, Field Research tasks, raid bosses, and egg pools. Additionally, trainers can look forward to two special Spotlight Hours closely tied to the event rather than following the traditional weekly schedule.

Below is a comprehensive breakdown of all the perks, bonuses, and rewards featured during the Pokémon Go “Mega Squads” event, including strategies for adding Maschiff to your collection.

Trainers have several reliable methods to encounter and capture Maschiff throughout the celebration:

  • Hatch it from newly acquired 5 km eggs starting September 11 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
  • Complete specific Field Research tasks (details to be announced) available from September 11 at 10:00 a.m. local time onward.
  • Reach Rank 30 on the free track of the Go Pass: Mega Squads, or progress to Rank 60 on the Deluxe Pass.

To evolve Maschiff into Mabostiff, you will need 50 Maschiff Candies. Please note that its Shiny variation is not yet available in the game.
