PlayStation Fans Name September’s Best Game — Silksong Faces New Rivals for Gamers’ Attention

Hollow Knight: Silksong attracted considerable attention, but many didn’t regard it as the standout release of last month.

Sony recently published the results of the PlayStation fan vote, “Players’ Choice,” for September 2025’s best new game.

PlayStation owners did cast votes for Silksong, yet Team Cherry’s title placed only third by vote share. The top spot went to the horror entry in the well-known franchise — Silent Hill f won by a sizable margin.

1. Silent Hill f — 49.62% of votes
2. Trails in the Sky: 1st Chapter — 34.78% of votes
3. Hollow Knight: Silksong — 9.39% of votes
4. Borderlands 4 — 1.16% of votes
5. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds — 0.93% of votes
