Phoenix’s “Lisztomania” Sees Huge Streaming Increase After Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Video

Phoenix’s 2009 track “Lisztomania” has obtained a 192 p.c improve in on-demand streams within the U.S. this week, Billboard experiences. According to Nielsen Music, the monitor jumped from 1.07 million streams within the body ending January three to three.13 million within the week ending January 10. The spike in streams follows the recently circulated video of Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez dancing to “Lisztomania” in 2010. The clip was anonymously shared in an attempt to smear the newly-elected Democratic Representative.

Earlier this month, Phoenix showed their support of Ocasio-Cortez by sharing the video. “Congratulations on being the youngest woman ever being elected to Congress,” they tweeted. “Lisztomania” seems on the band’s Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix.
