Founded in 2000 in Canada, HB Studios is a firm which, casually, has had a major influence in sports video games. After countless titles from various licenses (there is FIFA, NHL and more), the company is recently at the origin of the PGA Tour: well aware of the potential and the mastery of the organization, 2K Games has just announced its acquisition for an unknown sum. Even more interesting, this acquisition stipulates in its contract the use of Tiger Woods “for the long term”, allowing the champion to return to the video game landscape after seven years of absence. Better yet, the golfer will be a consultant on all the next installments of the saga, which should allow the franchise to gain ground, especially in terms of notoriety.
