The v30.40 update in Fortnite introduces Fall Guys to its Battle Royale mode, reopens an iconic weapon, and removes the Pirates event content.
In Battle Royale, Where We Fallin’ is now live. Discover a golden Bean Idol, navigate the floating obstacle course in the sky, and collect loot to boost your chances of securing a Victory Royale. But that’s not all the Fall Guys excitement… If you’re a creator, you can now publish your dream Fall Guys island using Fall Guys assets in UEFN and Creative.
Whether you’re a creator seeking inspiration or a player hunting for some bean chaos, explore six Fall Guys islands crafted by Mediatonic available in Discover! They can be found in the new “Fall Guys” row.
Fortnite x Fall Guys
An enormous obstacle course has descended upon the Fortnite Battle Royale Island. Where We Fallin’ is live now through v31.00 until August 15!
To access the obstacle course, you’ll need to locate one of the several Bean Idols hidden in the Classy Courts area. They’re quite conspicuous, being tall, shiny, and very… beany.
You have three attempts to set a completion time per Battle Royale match, but you can only finish the course once per match. Completing the course within the 120-second time frame will reward you with gameplay loot to aid in the remainder of the match:
- Finish in under 50 seconds for “Gold Tier” loot.
- Finish between 50 and 80 seconds for “Silver Tier” loot.
- Finish between 80 and 120 seconds for “Bronze Tier” loot.
For your Bean’s protection, we must inform you that the course is off-limits once it falls within the Storm…
During the obstacle course, you’ll notice your Fortnite Outfit transforming into a Fall Guys Bean! The appearance of your Bean will depend on the Outfit you have equipped, and special bean-spoke looks are available for some of the most iconic Fortnite Outfits such as Brite Bomber, Fishstick, and Jonesy the Secondst. Your Fall Guys Bean will revert back to its Fortnite form when you return to the Island!
Note: If your equipped Outfit isn’t an original Fortnite character, your Bean will default to a preset “default” Bean.
Additional note: Costumes from Fall Guys do not transfer to Fortnite. The Bean form only applies to your existing Fortnite Outfits!
Minigun Unvaulted
The cherished Minigun has made a comeback to Battle Royale with v30.40, available in Rare, Epic, and Legendary Rarities. The weapon has received a few updates:
- Enhanced accuracy
- New animations
- Projectile-based firing
With the return of the Minigun, the Flint-Knock Pistol, Buried Treasure, and Ship in a Bottle items have been vaulted.
