The project was famously developed without her consent, and Anderson reveals that Rogen and his creative team never reached out for her input or perspective. She has characterized the series as a blatant violation of her personal life.
The actress recently encountered Rogen on the Golden Globes red carpet, noting that the comedian didn’t even offer a simple greeting.
“It was incredibly awkward and disheartening. I felt entirely invisible—as if I weren’t a human being at all. Being a public figure doesn’t grant anyone the right to turn the most painful chapters of my life into a television show. This series provoked a level of anger in me that I hadn’t anticipated.”
