Owlcat Games recently reminded players that the third story expansion for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader — titled “The Infinite Museion” — is in development.
The studio released a brief teaser showcasing Necron models, including units and architectural designs.
Story premise:
“Venture into the mysterious repository of Trazyn the Infinite. Discover what drew Trazyn’s attention to the von Valancius dynasty, and decide whether to further his schemes or to undermine them. Gain a glimpse of his legendary collection, unearth priceless relics, and face the guardians that protect them — entities whose nature defies comprehension. A new companion will join your retinue, bringing a distinct combat style that will alter tactical approaches in battle. This expansion introduces a new narrative arc, a gameplay mechanic centered on combat implants, and a deeper immersion into Necron lore.”
For now, the DLC “The Infinite Museion” only has a release window — “April–June 2026”.
