The Overwatch League’s commissioner Nate Nanzer introduced Friday he’s leaving for the corporate for Fortnite creator Epic Games .
Nanzer introduced his departure from Activision Blizzard in a Tweet:
Hey Overwatch League household. I needed to share that quickly I shall be leaving Blizzard for a brand new alternative. This has been the hardest resolution of my life, as a result of it means I received’t get to work with the perfect workers, gamers, groups, homeowners, companions, and followers in esports anymore. 1/4

ESPN reports that Nanzer will head up the corporate’s esports division – particularly Fortnite, in response to an announcement launched after Nanzer’s announcement:
“We’re excited to welcome Nate to the Epic Games team, where he’ll be working with us on competitive Fortnite,” Epic stated.
The Overwatch League is a world esports league that’s in its second season as of February 2019. It includes 20 groups representing cities all all over the world. The Overwatch League’s opening day drew a massive 408,000 viewers.
