However, this does not mean that these figures can be converted into sales.

Remedy Entertainment has shared new details about the commercial prospects of Control Resonant. According to the company’s financial report for the first half of 2026, the upcoming action game has already surpassed 1.5 million wishlists across all platforms.

Remedy also noted “healthy momentum” after preorders opened in June. Control Resonant currently ranks among the top three preorder titles in the PlayStation Store in the United States, Brazil, and Germany. This is particularly important for the PS5 version, as buyers of the Deluxe Edition will receive 48-hour early access before the official release.

At the same time, Remedy did not directly compare the preorder figures of Control Resonant with Alan Wake 2 or the original Control. However, company analytics show that the game is “performing well compared to comparable projects.”

Remedy expects additional pre-release marketing momentum to help the game achieve an even stronger launch. The company is also confident in its chosen release date despite initial heavy competition in September. According to the developers, the release window has become “slightly less crowded.” Specifically, Onimusha: Way of the Sword received an earlier release date, and Phantom Blade Zero was postponed to late October.

Remedy believes that Control Resonant will stand out from the competition thanks to its originality and quality. The studio’s main priority remains releasing the highest quality game possible, and the chosen release date should support that goal.
