Released last April, Outriders had a lot of hopes on its shoulders. Long years of development, a frankly substantial budget and the risky commitment of a new franchise, that’s a lot for PeopleCanFly and Square-Enix: fortunately, despite a catastrophic launch on the technical point, the TPS is finally community success and that is the main point for both companies.
Thus, the publisher communicates a first official attendance figure: between April 1 and May 1, 3.5 million players tried out this cooperative adventure rich in hemoglobin. Even more fun, the average playing time is thirty hours, proving a real involvement on the part of gamers.
However, remember that the game was included in the Xbox Game Pass: these 3.5 million players therefore do not guarantee 3.5 million sales at all, take it for granted. Whatever, Outriders seems to be a success and if the financial scores follow, we would not be surprised that the site of a second part is planned.
