Other News: Sony Unveiled the PS5 Pro
Today, Sony unveiled its new console — the PlayStation 5 Pro. However, neither the announcement itself nor the console’s appearance came as a surprise to fans. What remains to be revealed is the sale start date and the price of the new model.
Compared to the original PS5, for which GTA 6 is being developed, the new version features a GPU with 67% more computing units, 28% faster memory, and a rendering speed increase of up to 45%. Ray tracing has also been improved by 2-3 times, a 2 TB SSD is included, and PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution technology has been implemented, which is analogous to DLSS. Astro’s Playroom, which highlights the features of the wireless DualSense controller, will be pre-installed on the disk.
The PS5 Pro will go on sale on November 7, with pre-orders available from September 26. The prices for the new console are steep: $700 in North America, £700 in the UK, and €800 in Europe. This is almost twice as much as the regular PS5 (comparing the disc-less version, as this new model also lacks a disc drive), which hit store shelves four years ago.
How much, then, will a PS5 Pro bundle with GTA 6 cost? 850 bucks?..
