Olivia Rodrigo Says ‘Bye High School’ in Celebratory Graduation Photos

Olivia Rodrigo

Congratulations are in order for Olivia Rodrigo, who has officially graduated high school.

The 18-year-old hitmaker proudly celebrated the milestone on Saturday (June 19) by sharing some Polaroid-style pictures of herself posing in a shiny blue cap and gown.

“Bye high school!!!!!!!” the “Good 4 U” hitmaker wrote on Instagram.

The first photo shows the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series actress flashing a peace sign, while the second pic finds her making a silly face for the camera. The gallery also includes a photo of a SUV with the words “Just Graditated!” jokingly written on the back window.

Rodrigo has been hard at work in recent months. In May, she scored her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with her debut full-length, Sour. Earlier this year, the singer-songwriter broke through with her hit breakup ballad “Drivers License,” which spent eight weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100. She also earned her second Hot 100 chart-topper with the Sour track “Good 4 U.”

In a recent Billboard cover story, Rodrigo discussed the challenges of balancing schoolwork with her busy career.

“I have like a month left of senior year, and I’ve sort of been neglecting that,” the singer said. “Because I’ve been off making my album, I sort of forgot I was a high school student.”

Rodrigo, who plays the talented but insecure theater kid Nini Salazar-Roberts on Disney+’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, recently wrote and performed the new ballad “The Rose Song” on the show. Watch a performance of the track here.
